Public Research Advisory Board (PRAB)
The Public Research Advisory Board (PRAB) advises researchers and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Hennepin Healthcare on how to better inform and engage our communities about ongoing research, and help ensure that research is conducted in a culturally appropriate manner. The volunteer members are representative of the communities Hennepin Healthcare serves.
Members
PRAB members are academic, professional and community experts in human subject protection programs; ethicists; research subjects; surrogate decisionmakers/legally authorized representatives; research advocates; community leaders; and service providers from community-based organizations. They represent diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, while sharing the common interest of research being conducted in a manner that understands and respects cultural differences and is responsive to community needs.
