Trauma and Burn
The HCMC (flagship acute care and teaching hospital of the Hennepin Healthcare System) Burn Center provides intensive, acute, and rehabilitative care to children and adults from Minnesota and surrounding states who have sustained burn injuries and other complex wounds, including frostbite, necrotizing soft tissue infections, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, pressure wounds, and inhalation injuries.
The Burn Center staff is dedicated to educating the community and other health care providers about burn prevention and treatment. They visit local schools and organizations and appear on TV, radio, and print articles.
