Dr. Richard Zera, MD, PhD, Chief of Surgical Oncology, graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his residency training in general surgery at HCMC, the flagship acute care and teaching hospital of the Hennepin Healthcare System. He earned a fellowship in surgical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Cancer
The HHRI Cancer Research Program supports and collaborates with numerous local and national organizations to study the most applicable, pertinent, and cutting edge drugs, strategies, and therapies.
HHRI’s Cancer Research Program is also an affiliate member of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Program (NSABP), which is a National Cancer Institute funded cooperative group of institutions nationwide whose mission is to study treatment and prevention of breast and colorectal cancer.
